Kibi is an angry young woman. Born into slavery, as many in her halfling family before her, she was taught from a young age that she is beneath basically everyone in society. Her parents did tell her stories from their true home in Mwangi, however, stories they had learned from their parents. Kibi grew into from a frustrated child into an intelligent but still frustrated young woman in the service of one of the prominent families of Kintargo, never willing to accept this as her slot in life. One day she managed to escape (with help?). Unwilling to leave her family behind, but unable to take them with her, she decided to stay in Kintargo. Kibi abandoned the name she was forced to use in servitude, Plina, and started going solely by Kibi, the name her parents had given to her in secret. She hung around in the slums of Kintargo, using both her small stature and her natural talent at lies to avoid the authorities. There she also decided that her personal freedom wasn't enough. Just hiding in the corners wasn't enough. What free time she had, Kibi spent on learning. She has never been into written words, considering oral tradition part of her heritage that she's trying to keep up, but did learn to read and write to make gathering knowledge easier. She's been especially intrigued by anything she can learn about the Silver Ravens, as her greatest dream is to start another rebellion.
