These penalties do not stack with themselves, but additional attacks that deal sneak attack damage extend the duration by 1 round. A creature cannot suffer from more than one penalty from this ability at a time. If a new penalty is applied, the old penalty immediately ends. Any form of healing applied to a target suffering from one of these penalties also removes the penalty.)
- Bewildered: The target becomes bewildered, taking a –2 penalty to AC. The target takes an additional –2 penalty to AC against all attacks made by the rogue.
- Disoriented: The target takes a –2 penalty on attack rolls. In addition, the target takes an additional –2 penalty on all attack rolls it makes against the rogue.
- Hampered: All of the target’s speeds are reduced by half (to a minimum of 5 feet). In addition, the target cannot take a 5-foot step.

- Ranger's Focus 2/Day The guide can focus on a single enemy within line of sight as a swift action. The ranger gains a +4 bonus on attack and damage rolls against the target of his focus.
- Track +3 bonus to Survival skill checks made to follow or identify tracks.
- Trapfinding +5 (+3 ranger, +2 rogue)
- The bonus applies on Perception skill checks made to locate traps and on Disable Device skill checks. A trapper can use Disable Device to disarm magic traps.

- You may sleep in light or medium armor without becoming fatigued.
- Favored Terrains (Underground +4, Urban +2)
- The bonus applies on initiative checks and Knowledge (geography), Perception, Stealth, and Survival skill checks when he is in his favored terrain. A ranger traveling through his favored terrain normally leaves no trail and cannot be tracked (though he may leave a trail if he so chooses)
- Terrain Bond
- When in his favored terrain, the ranger grants all allies within line of sight and that can hear him a +2 bonus on initiative checks and Perception, Stealth, and Survival skill checks. Also, as long as they travel with him, the ranger’s allies leave no trail and can’t be tracked. The ranger can choose for the group to leave a trail, or even specific members of the group to leave a trail if he so desires.
- Traps (6/Day; Extraordinary Trap DC 16; Supernatural Trap DC 18)
- Setting a trap is a full-round action that provokes attacks of opportunity. A trap fills a single 5-foot square, and cannot be placed in the same area as another ranger trap or a magical trap such as a glyph of warding. The ranger only needs simple materials to create the trap, such as a piece of cloth, a small amount of metal (such as a dagger, iron spike, or a few nails), a foot of rope or vine, and so on. The DCs for Perception checks to notice the trap, Disable Device checks to disable it, and for saving throws to avoid it are equal to 10 + 1/2 the character's level + the character's Wisdom bonus. All ranger traps are Trigger: location, and Reset: none. The trapper can use these traps a total number of times per day equal to 1/2 her ranger level + her Wisdom modifier. Extraordinary traps are Type: mechanical, and supernatural traps are Type: magic. An extraordinary trap has a –2 penalty to its DC. An extraordinary trap lasts 1 day per ranger level or until it is triggered, whichever comes first. A magical trap lasts only 1 hour per level or until triggered, whichever comes first. A trap's DC decreases by 1 for each full day (or hour, for a magical trap) that passes after it is set.
- Snare Trap (Ex or Su): The trap constricts around a limb or other part of the triggering creature's body (Reflex avoids). The creature cannot move from the location of the trap, unless the ranger included a “leash” when setting the trap, in which case the creature is limited to the length of the leash. The trapped creature can escape with an Escape Artist check (DC equal to the trap's DC) as a full-round action. The trap or its leash has a number of hit points equal to 1/2 the ranger's level, or can be burst as a full-round action with a DC 25 Strength check. The trap can hold up to a Medium creature; each extra daily use of the ranger's trap ability spent when the trap is set increases the maximum size of creature the trap can hold. At the ranger's option, if there is a tall object or structure nearby, she can have the trap lift the creature.
- Alarm Trap* (Ex or Su): When the trap is triggered, it also creates a momentary loud noise equivalent to the audible alarm version of Alarm. *Can be applied to Snare Trap at no additional cost.
- Wild Empathy (Ranger level + Cha = +4)
- A ranger can improve the initial attitude of an animal. This ability functions just like a Diplomacy check to improve the attitude of a person (see Using Skills). The typical domestic animal has a starting attitude of indifferent, while wild animals are usually unfriendly. To use wild empathy, the ranger and the animal must be within 30 feet of one another under normal visibility conditions. Generally, influencing an animal in this way takes 1 minute, but, as with influencing people, it might take more or less time. The ranger can also use this ability to influence a magical beast with an Intelligence score of 1 or 2, but he takes a –4 penalty on the check.
- Finesse Training: Weapon Finesse as a bonus feat.
- In addition, add Dexterity instead of Strength on damage rolls with Spiked Gauntlets. If any effect would prevent you from adding your Strength modifier to the damage roll, you don't add your Dexterity modifier.
- Sneak Attack +2d6: Attacks deal extra damage anytime when target would be denied a Dexterity bonus to AC (whether the target actually has a Dexterity bonus or not) up to a range of 30 feet, or when the rogue flanks her target.
- Evasion: a successful Reflex saving throw against an attack that normally deals half damage on a successful save instead deals no damage. Evasion can be used only if wearing light armor or no armor. Can't benefit from evasion while helpless.
- Rogue Talents
- Trap Spotter: Whenever a rogue with this talent comes within 10 feet of a trap, she receives an immediate Perception skill check to notice the trap. This check should be made in secret by the GM.
- Combat Trick: Rapid Shot as a bonus feat
- Danger Sense
- (+1 bonus on Reflex saves to avoid traps, +1 dodge bonus to AC against attacks made by traps, and a +1 bonus on Perception checks to avoid being surprised by a foe.)
- Careful Disarm (Doesn't spring the trap unless failed by 10 or more, If a trap is set off while attempting to disarm it, add double trap sense bonus (+2) to avoid the trap.)

Notes
Wayfinder
A small magical device patterned off ancient relics of the Azlanti, a wayfinder is typically made from silver and bears gold accents. With a command word, you can use a wayfinder to shine (as the light spell). The wayfinder also acts as a nonmagical (magnetic) compass, granting you a +2 circumstance bonus3 on Survival checks to avoid becoming lost. All wayfinders include a small indentation designed to hold a single ioun stone. An ioun stone slotted in this manner grants you its normal benefits (as if it were orbiting your head), but frequently reveals entirely new powers due to the magic of the wayfinder itself.
Clear Spindle Ioun Stone in Wayfinder
This stone sustains the wearer without food or water. Resonating Effect: Protection from possession and mental control (as protection from evil).
Grenade, Fuse
Source: Adventurer's Armory
This hollow clay container holds a small charge of explosive power and a slow burning fuse. Lighting the fuse is a move action; 1d3 rounds later the grenade explodes, dealing 2d6 bludgeoning damage and 1d6 fire damage in a 10-foot burst (DC 15 Reflex save for half ). You throw a fuse grenade as if it were a splash weapon.
Bear Trap
Source: Advanced Player's Guide
Although intended for trapping large animals, bear traps work as well for trapping humanoids or monsters. The hinged jaws of the trap are attached to a chain, which in turn is secured to a spike driven into the ground to ensure that the victim cannot simply crawl away. Prying open the jaws or pulling the spike from the ground requires a DC 20 Strength check.
Type mechanical; Perception DC 15; Disable Device DC 20
Trigger location; Reset manual
Effects Sharp jaws (atk +10 melee 2d6+3); sharp jaws spring shut around the creature’s ankle and halve the creature’s base speed (or hold the creature immobile if the trap is attached to a solid object); the creature can escape with a DC 20 Disable Device check, DC 22 Escape Artist check, or DC 26 Strength check.
Trespasser's Boot Trap
Source: Adventurer's Armory
Consisting of a small wooden frame with inward-pointing barbed spikes, this trap is placed in a shallow pit just deep enough for a Medium-sized character’s lower leg. When someone steps in the square, the boot catches and holds her leg. The target takes damage if she tries to move or if a Disable Device attempt to free her fails by 5 or more.
Type mechanical; Perception DC 20; Disable Device DC 20
Trigger location; Reset manual
Effects pit spikes (atk +10 melee, 2d4); spikes hold the target in place; the trap can be escaped with a DC 20 Disable Device check, DC 20 Escape Artist check, or DC 24 Strength check.
Bag, Handy Haversack
Description
A backpack of this sort appears to be well made, well used, and quite ordinary. It is constructed of finely tanned leather, and the straps have brass hardware and buckles. It has two side pouches, each of which appears large enough to hold about a quart of material. In fact, each is like a bag of holding and can actually hold material of as much as 2 cubic feet in volume or 20 pounds in weight. The large central portion of the pack can contain up to 8 cubic feet or 80 pounds of material. Even when so filled, the backpack always weighs only 5 pounds.
While such storage is useful enough, the pack has an even greater power. When the wearer reaches into it for a specific item, that item is always on top. Thus, no digging around and fumbling is ever necessary to find what a haversack contains. Retrieving any specific item from a haversack is a move action, but it does not provoke the attacks of opportunity that retrieving a stored item usually does.
