Uiml
UIML (user interface markup language) is a user interface definition
language with the following deficiencies:
- it is overspecified for what it does (which is very little);
- its focus is mainly on language independence, not device
independence. But because it is relatively complicated, not many
implementations will arise (quickly) and so it will not be very
language independent.
- it specifies user interfaces on the element level,
device-independently as far as this domain allows. Such a
device-independence is currently handled by HTML, CSS and DOM, and in
a much better manner.
